lunches are the hardest for me..

I find breakfast is an easy choice of that to have.. eggs or yogurt.. and supper always has some type of meat so I get my protein there but I'm finding it difficult to make the best choices for lunch.
In the beginning I was so consumed with getting in the protein and I've slipped in that.. today for lunch I had a tuna melt, so not so bad.. but I'm running out of ideas for lunch.
Carbs are really sneaking back in, what are some things you have for lunches?

I have been getting a lot of my ideas from this blog...

http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/

She has GREAT ideas for high protein, low carb foods! I especially love that she eats a lot of cucumbers!! I love them at lunch cause I can dip them into something high protein and get a good crunch out of them. I am very sensory oriented so I have to have certain things to eat a day - lol! But her dips are easy and yummy!! Right now I am using hummus cause I got some from the farmer's market. But I will be making some dips today and tryign those out next.

I usually have about 4 or 5 cucumbers at lunch with some hummus. I also have a bag of frozen shrimp in my freezer that I want to try with some dips for lunch too!! I haven't moved to chicken just yet, but when I do I will definitely boil a bag of chicken breasts at the beginning of the week to eat with my dips :)

Hope that helps :) Have fun :)

deli turkey and cheese rolled up
beef jerkey and a laughing cow cheese
tuna salad (no bread)
chicken salad (no bread)
a boiled egg or deviled egg

I'm the opposite. Lunch is easy for me cause I'm working and concentrating on getting my water in. Dinner is what is harder for me (well not snacking around dinner time, actually)

You might check out MsPokerFace's "Whatcha eating today VSGers" daily post for some ideas as well as the aforementioned eggface's blog.

Heck if all else fails, have a shake!

What about dinner leftovers for lunch.
I work from my home so it is pretty easy for me.

Today I had the other half of a hamburger from last night with some mustard, dill relish, and baby carrots.

My usuals are tuna w/light Italian dressing and some lettuce, or deli meat and cheese rolled up and dipped in some kind of sauce.

Breakfast is a breeze because it is always a whey isolate drink.  Dinner is tough because I have to try and please my family and my husband is grumpy about having meat and veg, even though I make them some kind of starch too.
