Well today is my 2 month surgiversary.  As far as my health goes I feel tons better.  I have been going to the gym and working with a trainer once a week.  As far as the scale goes not so good.  The first month I lost 23lbs and as of today I have lost 29lbs and 16 3/4 inches.  11 3/4 from the first month.  I am hoping something breaks and gets me started again.
Question to the vets out there.  I am a big Ice tea (unsweet) drinker.  Could the caffeine be hurting my weight loss?
Maybe I am hoping for to much but wish the scale would move.  I moved from 226 to 220 and stopped again.
But I am going to continue moving forward.  Considering just drinking protein for breakfast and lunch and a sensible dinner to see if that will break the stall.

I know there are different theories on caffeine consumption. I won't get into that, but what i can tell you from my personal experience is that I tend to retain fluid when I drink caffeine. So, I don't drink it right now at all - in any form. I drink decaf coffee and decaf iced tea. Mindlessly, I had some regular iced tea a few weeks ago and by night time I was holding on to fluid (my ankles swelled up). Don't know why this happens to me. Maybe you're the same. It might be worth experimenting to find out.

In my program we were told to avoid Caffeine because it can make manging cravings harder and increase appetite.  I havent had anything caffeineited since surgery.

I do love the Mio Sweet Tea flavor water enhancer.  You might try that?

Are you on MFP?
