Totally OT - My favorite author died today. RIP Maurice Sendak
He wrote two of my all time favorite children's stories "Where the Wild Things Are" and "In the Night Kitchen". So sad. Each of my children have their own hard cover copies of these stories, and we have two well worn, well loved, well read family copies on our book shelves.
RIP Mr. Sendak, the world lost an incredible artist today.

What a loss. I felt that his stories (particularly "Where the Wild...") spoke to adults, as well as children. He will be missed.

"But the wild things cried, "Oh please don't go - we'll eat you up - we love you so!"
And Max said, "No!"
The wild things roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws but Max stepped into his private boat and waved goodbye."
Good sailing, Maurice Sendak. You will be missed.
