Seven Month Check In
Hi all. Thought you guys might be interested in some statistics for journey after 7 months.
I lost 51 lbs (started in June 2011) prior to surgery and I've lost 103 more since surgery on Oct 10, 2011.
After the initial month after surgery (lost 19 lbs that month), I've been right on 14 lbs a month. My weight loss per week is right at 3.4lbs. I tend to lose a pound a day for a while and then nothing for several days to a week.
In total, I've lost 64% of my excess body weight (with a 180 personal target) - 54% EWL since surgery.
My starting BMI was 63.9 and I'm currently 40.4. At 180 I would be at 27.4 which is still considered overweight but I think I would be quite happy there.
This one is interesting. Half of the inches I've lost have been in the last 2 months. Some really dramatic changes and I've had a lot of aquaintences approach me to ask about my weight loss recently.
I'm counting the first of June as my official start of the journey to lose weight. At my current rate, I should lose about a total of 165+- pounds in the whole year. I have about 86 lbs to lose to hit 180 and should get there in November or December if (and it is a big if) my weight loss continues at this pace. If it slows down, I think I'm still going to be OK. The amount I've already shed is tremendously freeing.
Hope that was interesting to some of you. Take care.
