5 months post op sleeve and i had my gallbladder out on friday. today is wednesday and i am still in pain! this hurts worse than the sleeve!  any ideas of what i can do besides rest.  i dont want to medicate a lot now since i think i over did it the first few days.  have very little appetite and have been eating soup and drinking, certaintly not getting enough in yet but doing ok. everything else is fine, labs, poops, surgery sites, etc.

No one heals well when in pain. Take the meds as prescribed.
if it says take every 4-6 hours then take every 6 hours if you're concerned.

After a couple weeks, you will feel better and not need them anymore.
but catching up to pain control is a lot harder on your body than just taking as prescribed.

My gallbladder surgery was almost 2 years ago. It was a far more difficult surgery from which to recover than VSG. I was down for several weeks - uncomfortable, tired, food and bowel issues, etc...
With VSG I was travelling in 10 days and having a great time!

Take the pain meds. It's hard to heal when you're suffering.
