How to not walk like a fat person?

As my confidence started to rise i naturally wanted to start saying hi to strangers and look at my surroundings. i don****ch where im stepping anymore either because i am not so afraid of falling and looking like a whale or anything.

Every morning and at lunch i stand in front of a mirror pull my shoulder blades back and smile for several minutes. that stretches out all those muscles and reminds me to stand tall and proud. its like my morning meditation. i eat better on the days i remember to do this too.

I started wearing 5 inch heels LOL Nothing trains you better then the threat of falling on your face if you don't keep your shoulders back and spine stright.

Seriously though, I have always had a slight swagger, now it's just more natural and less put on.

I know some people who might pay real money to see me in 5 inch heels.

Just not my insurance company, LOL.

Well I have a closet full and Frisco says I can't wear them in public b/c they give boys the wrong idea, so you can feel free to come over and borrow them anytime

I actually dared my husband once to put on a pair of my shoes, wedges not even stilettos. He couldn't even stand up and I got a hilarious picture out of the deal

Heh. Once I got right on top of my goal (about.. 2 weeks ago) I finally started to stand upright. I find myself making lots of eye contact. Shoulders back - belly in... all of those things. I know before I had the tendency to slink around to be out of others visual.
In terms of physiological, as I started to lose I had to start going to a chiropractor - as I was having a great deal of back pain. My body had been SO USED to carrying that extra weight (almost all of it in the abdomen) that it would spasm pretty frequently. As a result, I've learned to 'carry my load' a bit different and let my spine support me.

Hadn't thought too much about the whole picture, but I like that you are!

My general philosphy has always been hold your head high even if not particularly when you're not feeling 100% about yourself.  If you carry yourself with confidence, people don't question you.   I made a conscious decision to live my life like a size 6 even when I was a size 30. My weight didn't define me internally, and I refused to let it define me externally.

Having said that, while I struggled with being the 'athletic' or 'big' girl, I wasn't MO until well into my adulthood.  I had the education, professional reputation, and resume to back up the swagger at that point. I don't know what it would have been like had I been 250lbs at 21. I thought I was big in college at 150lbs after I gained the 'Freshman 15."

I am not sure if this will help, or if this is how fat people walk but this is how i walk.
i walk with my feet pointed outward and i noticed my little brother walks like that too, he is kinda chunky.
My personal trainer noticed this and got on me about it. like literally every time we met for like a year we worked on it. He would have me walk with my feet pointed straight forward or slightly pointed towards eachother but not all the way.

he would have me do that on the tredmill or on the eliptical machine. so i could get used to it. it doesnt look like it, but u feel like you are walking with your feet pointind towards eachother and u think u look funny like this   ->  / \   but it does help. he said that if we continue walking with our feet pointed out it could affect the way we ware out our knees. i also heard that form a ortho surgeons at my job.
hope this helps.
