Just taking a moment to list off all that I have gained by losing- what have you gained?

Here is my list of what i have gained during this journey.  How about you?

1.  I had given up last summer on weight and I was in a dark place.  Now, I am confident that  I will finish the process of regaining my health.
2.  I have gained access to the tall sizes.  I was far too fat for them before, and with my lanky 6'2'' frame it has been such a blessing to have clothes that are long enough.  First time in my adult life.
3.  I have gained better physical well being and the ability to exerice.  Before, I would routinely not particpate in something due to the weight.  Now, about the only thing left that I want to do is light jogging, but I am not quite there yet.  I will be.
4.  The social anxiety is greatly diminshed.  I am in a career that places me in public speaking events frequently and that was utterly stressful due in part to the weight.  I still need to work at this, but holy smokes had it gotten better.
5.  My already strong marriage is even better.  The hubby went on a diet with me just after my surgery to help me not kill myself by eating myself to death.  He has lost 88 pounds now!  Our long nightly walks has been an absolute highlight for me.
6.  I just feel better!  No more frequent colds, flu, headaches, and in general fatigue.

There are many more, but I don't want this to be too lengthy!

Me too, me too! I feel like I'm a different and new person! I have so much energy now like I've never had before, I'm discovering things that I wasn't able to do before or that I would have never attempted before because of my weight, like riding in a hot air balloon(which was amazing and fun) and zip lining :)

 My Life Back.

Its that simple.  Like all of you I was in a dark place.  I was so Sick.  I honestly believe that if I had not done this By the end of this year I would be dead or having lost my sight or a limb to Diabetes.

Everything else is a function of that.

1. I don't look away as quickly as I can when I come upon a mirror or my reflection somewhere.

2. I feel GOOD in my skin (and I'm not even at goal yet)

3. I do my nails and hair and take extra time for ME now, because I feel I deserve it.

4. My kids hug me and their arms fit all the way around me with room to spare!

5. I feel free. Free to walk around in this world unashamed. Free to do activities I would never even DREAM about before my sleeve. Just FREEEEEE!

6. I no longer constantly think of food. Sure I still love it, but it has a time and a place and even when I feel guilty for being "bad" ...one cookie is a whole other thing compared to 8 or more pre sleeve! My bad isn't all that bad! lol

7. I can run! Really run fast! I can't believe that one!

8. I don't loathe pictures anymore. Can't wait for a new family photograph to be taken!

1. Nothing hurts anymore
2. I have a lot of energy.
3 .I actually enjoy exercise.
4. I'm not at my goal yet, but I fit in large sizes now !!!
5. I get a lot of compliments from family, friends and co-workers.
6. I socialize a lot more.
7. I can get up from the floor with out help.
8. I can paint my own toenails !!!
9. I can wear high heal shoes now  !!
I love that I CAN DO all these things that skinny people take for granted.
And I don't know if anybody feels these way, but when I see overweight people I feel sad for them, it's like I want to tell them that they will feel much better if they loose the weight.
I see people using a walker, a wheelchair or a cane because of their weight....and it makes me sad....some of these people are my family.
