What's your goal this week?

I just finished working out with Wii Fit-- 16 minutes yoga, 10 minutes free run and 10 minutes free step.  I've never kept going after 30 minutes before and frankly haven't hit 30 that often.  Losing weight certainly makes a difference!

So now I've set a goal.  5 of 7 days this week I am going to Wii for at least 30 minutes.

[I haven't been working out at all since my surgery, or for a couple of years prior to surgery except for some rehab, so this is all new habit I'm trying to establish.]

[I'm not gaining weight. I keep lowering my goal!] [I LOVE MY SLEEVE!]

Hi, I think it's awesome you started your workout regimen and you are doing great already.
I went swimming yesterday and I plan on doing cardio today, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Cardio is a lot easier for me now so I'm trying to do more exercises for the legs & abs. BTW, I have zero ab muscles!!! I was sore and could hardly get out of bed last week because of it.
Thursday, I am going to Palm Springs where it's going to be hotter than hell. I'll be at the pool but probably just playing around, it's not like I'll be doing laps. lol
I'm sure (I hope!) the hotel I am staying at has a gym so I can use something like a stair master, treadmill, or an elliptial.
If I don't get the chance to workout during my mini vacay, I'll probably sweat enough when I'm there since it will be 110 degree weather, ugh!!!

I'd like to get some swimming in but haven't got a convenient place to go.  One pool on the other side of town has lanes for laps but the people in them are good swimmers and I'd be struggling, and just haven't had the desire to tackle that.

I have no abs either. NONE.  Abs and arms are what I need to start dealing with, along with general fitness.

 My goals are to get my water and protein in and increase my walking time everyday.

 Up 5 lbs.  I was told in NO uncertain terms to not go below 190 - and honestly, Its looking like any lower and I'd be getting into something unmaintainable.  Even at 190 I am in 33 waist.  I don't wanna be in a 30 after plastics at 6'2.

Good to know. I'm sort of in that iffy range myself. My surgeon, his MD and my PCP are all happy with my weight - I'm off all meds, look fit, blood work is great, body fat is 19.4%,  and wear waist sizes from 30 to 32 depending on the cut. I'm a small or medium shirt. I'm just dealing with my emotional need to be under 170 which feels "safe" to me. I believe that i need that extra loss just in case I bounce back a bit during maintenance. I promised myself I'd re-evaluate my goal once I reached 170.
Thanks for sharing. It's helpful to know you upped your goal, because I'm feeling it might be the right thing for me to do, too.

 I did make a purely emotional decision.  I originally was going for 185 because that was a number I had some attachment to for some reason.  I always knew the innsurance chart weight of 171 was just not healthy for me.

Its important for me to have the normal BMI - which happens right around 195 for me.  I gave my self the extra 5 lbs for just the kind of variation you mentioned.  

I figure the last 5 will prbably come off with the extra skin in October.  I have my LBL scheduled for October 1.  Sending in the deposit this week.
