I have read a few comments on OH & another wls site about less allergies.

Have any of you 1yr+ sleevers noticed a change in allergies since losing weight?

Yeah - i now have allergies I never had before :(((

I thank my much more active lifestyle for this - i'm usually stomping around trails/parks where I've never been before :)   I'm not even sure what kind of allergies I have but when Im cycling and hiking, it's not always pretty.

I know that's not what you were looking for, but just on the topic of allergies!

I'm going to tell you now, if you get sleeved, and you have any kind of allergies make sure you get a prescription med. I know for me, if I get any kind of drainage it fills up my sleeve and makes eating/drinking difficult or impossible til I either vomit said nastiness or it moves through my sleeve. No fun!

Mine have noticeably improved.  I have a weird one- allergic to vibration.  For example, if I try to mow the lawn my hands and forearms swell up and I break out in terrible hives.  Walking even a few hundred feet would trigger hives at my highest weight.  Now, I actually have days where I forget to take the allergy meds.  I can walk (usually) without breaking out in hives.  I would still have to take meds if I do anything high impact or had lots of vibration, but it is so much better!

I am still allergic to my dogs though!

I'm 3 years out. And, my allergies are no worse or improved since being sleeved. I do get the sinus drainage upset stomach so Mucinex DM and D are my favorites. I refuse to go allergy meds to prevent my occasional flare up. Nothing a neti pot and a couple days of OTC meds can't resolve.

Food allergies since being sleeved: 3 years out, I'm still lactose intolerant with milk and still have a whey protein intolerance.

Other than that, no other issues.
