Tummy Tuck
Thanks. If vanity was the only issue I don't think I'd ever do this but the amount of skin inhibits my daily activities. Just gonna suck it up.

Alison, there is nothing wrong with your outsides reflecting all the work you've done to your insides. Having plastics was the best thing I've ever done to myself. Looking in the mirror and being so delighted with everything being where it hasn't been in 55 years is such a freaking relief.
I may have done it for vanity reasons, having only shed 100 pounds, but what it's done for my mental/emotional well being is off the charts.
Dr. Sauceda really is incredible. You've picked a winner!!

Ooohhh... I'm excited for you. I hope you'll share your results. We were both heavyweights so I'm interested to see if you're pleased with the results. I'm dealing with some major issues myself. I plan to call the insurance company in six months or so to see what they will cover. Ugh.

My plastic surgeon asked me a lot of questions about breakouts and things. I never really had those issues, so I replied no. I now think she was trying to gather some basic ammunition for the insurance company. I still have to go back in 6 weeks to re-assess my weight loss and to take some pictures for the insurance company. I wish I could have a breast lift. That would be cool.
I have to laugh because I grew up in a pretty au natural, feminist household and always believed that plastic surgery to "improve looks" was vain and anti-feminist.
Until I turned 45 and my crow's feet started sticking around all day, not just in the morning.
We'll see if I need a panni or TT. I haven't had children so I don't have that extra bit of stretched out skin there, and I've always been pretty psychotic about keeping ab and oblique exer****s in my routine.
I will have to have the brachioplasty if I want shirts to fit right, and I may have some knee reshaping done - even at my thinnest I had little fat packs on the inside of my knees.
And yes, damnit, I may go for some subtle Botox on those crow's feet and maybe a chin tuck after the weight comes off.
I can't believe I'm thinking about these things, but while I don't want to look like Melanie Griffith, I'd like to look like myself for just a little while longer.

Yeah I have 2 children and the loosing the stretch marks alone was good incentive for me to consider the TT. But my hairdresser had one 2 months ago, and OMG. She literally looks like she stole someone elses body. She was never big, but due to 2 huge baby boys, she could not get her stomach flat. So she did the TT and some minor lio on the sides. It really looks beautiful. But there was lots of bruising.
