Haven't posted in a while.  Just wondering how some of my June surgery buddies are doing.  I'm 6 weeks out and finally beginning to feel much better.  It hasn't been easy because of so much acid reflux and weakness from my extended hospital stay, but this week I finally feel like this was a good decision. Yes, I've questioned it several days.  Hope you all are doing well. I'll have my second follow up visit with surgeon tomorrow so hopefully I'll post again then.  Carry on sleeve buddies.....this losers bench has lots of room for us!!!

My 6 weeks has seemed to pass quickly at times and extremely slow at others.  I still don't feel like I have my energy level back but it is getting better. I do think this is the best decision I could have ever made.

I'm also 6 weeks out and seeing your numbers doesn't make me feel any better.  I haven't had any complications.  I have lots of energy and am 100%.  However, my weight loss is VERY slow.  I'm not sure if my tracker will show up.  I haven't quite figured that stuff out. But  my numbers are

Highest Weight 247
Day of Surgery 233
Today 216

I'm still blessed !!!

6/27 sleeved... I'm doing better, getting more energy day by day the last couple of days... I return to work around aug 7th.. The pain is fading some near my large incision, getting in my fluids and protein and holding down food.
Started at 299 jan 2012 when I had my consultation, 264 day of vsg, now 253, I had 7pounds of fluids put on me at hosp , so I had to get that off too
Still on blood pressure meds
Vsg was the best decision I made... Clothes are really baggy and my bf cant stop saying I look good

Newme--Don't be discouraged by my numbers.  My 44 lb loss is from my highest weight since January.  Since surgery I have lost 20 lbs, which to me seems slow, but there goes my too high expectations getting in my way again.

I was stuck at my discharge weight for a week... So I wouldn't worry bout it too much... So I'm dropping the pounds slowly

Hi Elaine and fellow June Sleevers. I was sleeved on June 11th. By far the best decision of my life. This has been a life changing experience. I have definitely had good days and bad days. I have had days where I have felt really good about my decision and days when I question what did I do to my body! I have had very little pain and was back to work in a week. I am very lucky to not have had any issues. We are all on a heading in the right direction! We can do this!!! I am so happy to have found this forum. I have learned so much from all of you! Keep on rocking your sleeves everyone!! Have a great day!

I'm a 6/12 sleever too and am on my 2nd stall. Not losing a whole lot since surgery but still not extremely active since I have a torn meniscus in my left knee. Walking to my limit every day but that's not a whole lot. I've lost a total of 20 since preop diet started so I'm a bit disappointed but at the same time know that I'm probably losing inches. Unfortunately I lost the notebook I had my measurements written down on and I have to call my Dr.'s office to get them again. Feeling better and better every day though. I'm like most, I started questioning my decision after I got home from the hospital - lol - but I think that's normal. Not regretting it now. Just trying to work it like I should and follow Dr.'s orders to a T, which I think I have.
