Struggling

I  am REALLY struggling this  week to  stay on track.  I have to maintain my  current weight (I  have  lost the  25 pounds  my  Doctor  has  asked me to lose before he  will do the  surgery)  until  Thursday and  every single day of the  last  2 weeks  has been a   constant  struggle.  I  have been trying to  keep my "eyes on the prize" but I  am  fighting to  stay out of  self-sabbotage  mode.  Thursday can't  come  fast enough!!

You can do this!!!!!!!!  Drink tons of water.  Are you on a surgeon-required eating plan?  If not, eat lots of protein so you stay full and don't crave sweets.

You're going to do it!!!

Oh, jiminey Crickets! I feel for you. You are in the absolute HARDEST place of your journey. I gained a pound while waiting for my surgery and my surgeon was not at all happy with me. I'm like, "A lousy pound? You're upset by only a pound?" His only answer was, "You were 4 ounces away from me cancelling your surgery."

I'm thinking.... Hell, you're the one who made me wait and go through Thanksgiving trying to maintain a WL! Whoosh!

So, if that isn't enough inspiration to stay on track, I don't know what would be!

You can do this. It's only 3 more days! Everytime you want to eat the wrong thing, just log on to OH and read, read, read!

Nope,  no  surgeon guided plan,  just  "lose  the  weight or I  won't  operate".   He  want's  to see that I  am  willing to  do the  work.

Thanks  Guys :)  The  before and after  pics help but I  have to  keep leaving  the  livingroom  because my  hubs sits beside me  scarfing  down  ice cream sundaes and  chips. And  he's skinny too! Thanks  for  listening.

I feel for you like you have no idea!!! I have a date of August 14th for surgery, but if I show up at my pre op on August 1st even 1 lb over my goal weight from my surgeon she won't do the surgery!! I have lost the weight, but I gained a couple pounds these past few weeks do to stress eating. My mom is very ill and has been in the hospital for over a month. So it was real easy to go off plan and eat whatever was around and easy! I am freaking out that I have ruined it for myself!!! Well I'll keep good thought for you and me that we will have the right weight needed to get the surgery.

I think its mean! I started this whole journey back in November went through all the hoopla I needed to do to be approved. I lost 24 lbs and I have gained 2 pounds recently and I'm freaked for my appt. I was going to do a liquid diet 6 days before to hope that I can lose those 2 lbs!! Good luck on your journey! Hope all goes well for you!!

Wow your doctor seems pretty ridged... I was told not to gain an ounce from my initial consult and I worked with a nut to help me change my eating habit

 You got this.

When you want to eat, Examine in your mind what is triggering you.  Try to avoid those triggers.  Thats the first technique.  You can also try to rewire those impulses.  Keep a sipper with you and when you feel the need to eat or graze, take a sip, or have some barbells handy and do some strength exercises when you feel the urge to eat.

You got this.  Just keep your eye on the prize.  Take these struggles as a way to learn and get ahead on your game.
