I am a long way off surgery but the nutritionist wanted me to star on a diet after our first vist I am supposed to eat 20-40 grams of protien per meal, and have one meal replacement shake a day, plus walk at least 10 minutes a day with a goal to get to 30 minutes without pain.

Well yesterday went well, I followed the diet with no worries, with a ton of water which helped supress my appetite.  One lap arounf the block was 20 minute and I felt good.

Plus I quit smoking last Monday did have 2 small relapses one smoke each time but I have not bought a pack of smokes, and since my wife sees that I am trying she is quiting too

Really great start there!  Pre op I made small goals and kept building up momentum- it truly made a huge difference.  Keep rocking that pre op plan!

Congrats! Keep it up. Its great that you also have the great support of your wife. The fact that she is too willing to give up smoking to help you and your family live healthier is so wondferful.

Stories like yours are what make OH such a great place.

Keep it going and just remember your OH family is here cheering you on!
