I had some bloodwork done this morning, including my A1C....because that's what diabetics do. And it turns out, according to my doctor, I "no longer have diabetes". I have been diet controlled for several years, so no meds....but now I don't have to worry. Today's test was a picture perfect 5.3.

YAY!!! That's awesome news! Looking better is exciting, but THAT is the real reason this surgery is so important!

I think being told you no longer have diabetes has got to be one of the best NSV's. Congrats to you!!!

I'm hoping to get the same news in the next day or two. My first post op a1c was a 6 on the nose... so I am pretty confident I'll be joining you in the non-diabetic family here soon!

Thats really Awesome! I was at 10.4 beffore my surgery. At three months was down to 5. something and at 6 months was a perfect 5.0. I still do finger *****s, and im sually at 70 or 71 in the morning.

Just wait, it'll get lower!
