Pre op diet and exercise

I have a general question.  I start my pre-op diet in 3 weeks and was wondering if you still exercise the same then as you do normally now?  I workout 5 days a week, either walk a couple miles or do kickboxing classes.  I'm curious about my energy level and if I'll even feel up to it.

Just wondering about others experiences.  Any stories or advice would be appreciated.

tks

 Hi

Im 4 weeks pre-op and start my formal Optifast diet on 4th sept.

But I have already put myself on a 1000-1200 calorie a day diet and cut out carbs etc to get my body used to it so it doesn't freak out completely.  I even have the odd Optifast soup for lunch or dinner now.

I am exercising the same as I normally would, about 4 times per week, 40 mins of walking at 4.5mph speed on my treadmill, then 20 mins of resistance weights and intend to do this right up until surgery. (then build back up slowly after surgery to allow healing time etc)

Im definitely more tired than normal, but nothing a few early nights doesn't fix.

The great thing is that I've lost nearly 5kgs (about 10 pounds) in the last 10 days.  Totally worth a few early nights I say!

Good luck with your surgery
