how do your sig. others react to loss???

We've been married 31 years and my husband could not possibly be more supportive. He is, however, more affectionate with some of the weight gone - not that I'm complaining.
I agree with the others - if your marriage is good it'll just get better. If it isn't, it may well get worse.

I asked my boyfirend what is going to happen when my boobs are down to my ankles and he told me thats what credit cards are for! Oh and I picked out the new ones already ;-P
It sounds like your husband loves you no matter what! Dont be nervous and just enjoy the old you until you meet the new you!

I too have been married for a long time (22 years) and my husband has seen me many sizes. This has been just as exciting for him as me. He is as thrilled as I am when I can wear a belt, found my waist, tie my shoes, walk three miles , and I feel so much better. It is really super fun for both of us.
It has actually helped our whole family. I no longer allow junk food in the house so if they want it they have to get it themselves and keep it out.....guess what? Thay gave it up. It was so much easier when I brought it home. My husband has lost a couple of inches and been motivated to work out too.
As far as saggy skin, I honestly don't think men really care as much as we do. With age things are going to sag any way. Attraction starts with eye contact and saggy skin will not matter.

I agree - I think we fret about skin way more than we need to - at least in terms of whether our spouses will be offended by it. Although I'll most likely have a panniculectomy and mons lift (Alberta Health covers those) I doubt I'll do more.
I figure anyone getting close enough to see the saggy skin under my clothes had better be my Dr or my husband, and they both know where I came from.
I'm sure I'd feel differently if I was younger/single/less secure in my marriage or less afraid of pain.

My husband has been supportive for the entire process. He was worried of losing me (me dying) from complications, but that was it. He has had a couple jealousy moments since surgery, but he was always a jealous kind of guy to begin with. Overall, I hear I've lucked out. He sees how much happier I am, and that makes him happy.

My husband and I went through the surgery together- I had mine 1/31 he had his 3/28. It has not changed our relationship (although w the hormonal things going on with me i really hate him sometimes but i dont think it has to do directly w the weight loss lol) jk but seriously we motivate eachother. I think even though he loved me when I was bigger he is enjoying the results of the hard work I put in and the changes to my body. We also do more together like we go to the beach with the kids and the park and the boardwalks. He never liked to go out much when he was heavier. That has changed and that is the best improvment in our relationship that we do so much more together than just eating! Anything that makes your health better should make your s/o happier! it just adds up to a longer healthier life together!
My husband tells me all the time how proud he is of me, that I've exceeded his expectations and that he *still* thinks I'm gorgeous.
I do worry a little about my totally deflated breasts because I know he is a boob man, but there have been no complaints so far ;)
Personally, I want to have some plastic surgery on my breasts but will wait until after we have kiddos. I know that it would make me feel complete in this transformation.
