I just start back running this week. I love it. I have a stressful job. I did walks/ jogs when I was preop. I now get up 530am and run for 20 mins. I love it. It is my new addiction. I'm slow at it, but that's fine with me

Now, I'm not fast and I don't run marathons.  But each runner needs to find their own stride.  Someone will always run faster.  Someone will always run longer.  Someone will always run more often.  But you find your own pace, mileage and frequency... and you go with it!

Amen! AND
 nice run today!

That's so great!!  The perfect passion=)  I would TOTALLY be a runner if I didn't have advanced arthritis in my knee...

I have found JAZZERCISE to be the shining light for me!  It's a full body cardio/sculpting/strengthening workout...I LOVE IT!  I am starting the training process to become and instructor...I can't wait!!

Congrats on your incredible success!

Why are we so close in everything!!???!!!.
I know EXACTLY what you're saying, lol

Addicted...yup...that's the word. I just ran 6.4 miles the last two times I ran. It was a new all time distance record for me. And I feel like an athlete...lol.
I could not get any higher than that feeling.

I AM going to strive for a marathon, mostly because I know I can now,

Thank you sleeve,
sincerely,
donna

You are awesome! I just completed Week 1 Day 2 of a Couch-to-5k program I downloaded on my phone. Day 1 was pretty easy and I ended up feeling like maybe I COULD be a runner. Today I took a different route and found it much harder for some reason. Possibly because I'd already walked two miles with a friend. Walked her to her house and THEN started in on the running. Got two runs in when I realized the dog was limping so had to call home for someone to come pick him up. That interrupted my mojo, lol. Also ended up doing one of my runs going up a steep hill. Tried to time it better but it is what it is. I'm gonna keep going.

The dog seems fine now that he's home. Just worn out. We'll keep an eye on him and take him to the vet if the limping keeps up. I guess 6 days in a row was a bit much for him, poor little guy. He loves it so much but he's just a little Dachsund and I keep going further with each walk.

My big dog will be home tomorrow--he spent the last week with my boys at their dad's house. He can be my exercise companion tomorrow and next week.
