Slow progress
I was sleeved just over 2 months ago. I had a rough time the 1st month or so with fatigue, diarrhea, just not recovering. It turned out I no longer needed glucophage and once it was discontinued I started to feel better and my blood sugar came down nicely. I lost about 30 lbs in the 1 st 5 weeks and now have not lost an ounce in the past three. Exercizing (swim laps), eating properly. Not gaining but not losing. What the heck? I was previously banded but had to have it removed a few years ag due to incapacitating reflux. I had such faith in the band and failed with it. Now I am starting to worrry that again I will be one of the unlucky ones that will fail despite sincere efforts. Has anyone else had plateaus in the early days lasting weeks (or months) ? I'm taking supplements, no trouble getting protein in, no calorie bombs or soft calorie syndrome. I do feel better than I did pre-op and a 30lb loss is significant for a diabetic (hoping for 100lb loss) I try not to focus too much on the scale. But now the weeks are turning into months with no weight loss. My brother had the surgery and lost 105lbs in 8 months. He is unrecognizable. Yes, he's a man but we do share lots of genes. I really did not anticipate weeks without even half a pound loss.

I also am a slow loser and no way will I be at goal in 6 months. I understand how frustrating it can be to not see the scale moving. I lost 13.8 lbs the first week after surgery and did not lose again for several weeks. I am a stair step loser- been my pattern since surgery. lose a few pounds , then nothing and in a few weeks lose again. We didn't gain the weight overnight and aren't going to lose it overnight. I have increased exercising , protein and fluids and pattern is unchanged. Some benefits to slower weight loss- less hair loss and less saggy skin ( rapid weight loss sometimes leads to loss of muscle mass). So we remain slow and steady but hopefully still finish the race. Continue to keep the faith and stick to the program- don't give up! Good luck.
If you do a search for "3 week stall" you'll find hundreds of threads on this very topic. It's very common, and highly likely exactly what's happening to you. If so, just keep going, and it will pass. My 3-week-stall lasted about two weeks. I just got past another stall that lasted a week, and I'm 5 months out.
As long as you're still doing what you're supposed to, it'll get better. I promise

I have no advice, but plenty of sympathy! I lost 21.5 pounds in the blink of an eye, and then almost nothing for 3 weeks. Lost a little this week though. I can't exercise, even walking (ruptured disc in my back). I'm looking forward to getting released to do some seated weight lifting soon and hoping that helps. It's really the only thing I'm physically capable of at the moment. But I'm ok with that. Had I not had the surgery I probably would have gained 10 pounds just from not being able to move. I've yet to hear of anyone work their program correctly and NOT lose. I know it's hard, but just keep faith in your program and follow it carefully, and it WILL work for you! And of course, feel free to vent here. Sometimes all it takes I'd a little encouragement from those *****ally understand.

Hang in there! I was losing quickly at first & now I've slowed down quite a bit. Sometimes nothing for a couple of weeks & then 4 lbs off in a few days! It's so hard especially when you compare yourself with others. Keep the faith, work the program, drink & exercise. I hear that's all it takes!! I come to this forum for encouragement & it really helps.
We'll all get there !!
