Sleeved and feeling ok
Had my sleeve surgery yesterday along with hernia repair and adhesion removal. The first night was awful!!! I was in pain and soooo thirsty! Today is better. Still sore but not horrible. Had my upper gi and everything looked good so now I am siping apple juice slowly had a lot of vomiting sit to the ng tube irritating my throat so dr took it out this morning. I did throw up after my first ounce of apple is this normal ? How long did it last for you? Looking forward to the journey!!!

I was sleeved on 8/13. I had the hernia repair as well. The first night for me was hard!! But unlike you, I wasn't given anything to drink. I began vomiting (dry heaves) lasting 5 hours or so. Sucked and hurt bad. I wasn't given anything til my 2nd night there, it was ice. I think what happened was completly normal. I wouldn't have wanted to try apple juice that soon.(suprised they gave it to you) Before surgery, apple juice and my belly didn't get along. I could only imagine after surgery. After my 2nd night in the hospital, I was sooo ready to go home. Congrats on your sleeve and feel free to ask me any questions. Take care!
If you are not getting anti-naseau medicine yet, ask for it. I had some naseau fresh out of surgery and it really helped. By the time I left the naseau was better.
