Alternative dessert

So I just got back from shopping at the market and while searching for what I call my special treats (100 calorie healthy choice frozen yogurt) I found a product called Arctic Zone.  I gave it to my oldest child when I got home but had a little taste as well.  It's an ice cream type dessert that taste like soft serve. It only has 150 calories per pint and is made with whey protein.  Just thought I'd list it in case anyone wants to look for it or chime in with their feedback.

More About Arctic Zero

  • Less than 150 calories per pint
  • Gluten Free
  • Fat Free
  • 8 grams of fiber per pint
  • 14 grams of whey protein per pint
  • No sugar alcohols

IIRC, Arctic Zero was one of the leading examples of mis-labeled nutrition info with a whopping almost 50 to 70% more cals than the label claimed. Not as bad as the real stuff.. but still. I've never tried it- picked it up, felt light as air, put it right back down. If I'm going to have an off-plan treat food, it's going to be really worth it.

Beware of "diet" foods.

That's crazy and misleading as hell.  I guess my kids will be eating diet ice cream when they get a treat.  Better to know though.  Thanks!

I bought some to try. Took one tase, tossed in garbage.

When I want a frozen thing, i toss one of my single servings of FF/SF Pudding Mix + Fage in the freezer for a while.  Scratches that itch.
