I actually hit my 2 month post op on the 20th but this morning is when I hit the 70lbs loss so I decided to post. Besides, I've been extremely busy with my new role as a 1st time daddy to a beautiful 2 month old baby girl. She is what motivates me everyday to get up and do something about my weight and my life. Not only do I want to live a long and healthy life for myself, I also want to be alive to see her attend birthday parties, graduations, walk her down the aisle, and most importantly, I want her to have her father in her life for guidance, direction, and LOVE.
Best wishes everyone! -Larry

Good job Larry!!! So happy for you! Congrats on your baby as well! It's amazing how they change your life, isn't it?? My boy is 3 and he had changed my life in ways I never believed possible. Sure, I did the surgery a month ago for me and to be healthy but I'll do what I need to do to be there for him for as long as possible. Good for you for taking your life back Larry, enjoy that new lil love of yours. Best of wishes to you and your lil family!!!!

Mustn't compare your weight loss with others! I was a "slow" loser compared to some of the other guys on here, like Rob and Ruggie, but I got to goal just the same. And in reality, I wasn't a slow loser at all! Check out my stats, you're ahead of me for post op weight loss and I'm guy. Just keep going. You'll get there.

Thanks Kairk! I know you're right! My mom has referred to me as the "Get it Today Girl" since I was a kid, and like in everything else I want my new body TODAY! But I know I didn't gain this weight over night, so I can't espect to lose it overnight! I'm really happy with my progress and have received so much reassurance for my OH peeps that I'm losing just fine! I already feel so much better at only two months out! If there was a way of getting rid of the artificial sweeteners in my diet, I'd probably feel even better!!!!
Just saw your comments about the artificail sweetners. Pre-op and Post-Op I was so sick and dizzy and had awful stomach problems. I examined everyhing and pretty much everything I was putting in my mouth was Whey or Artificial Sugars. So, I stopped them all COLD turkey about 1 1/2 weeks after surgery. It took a few days to get out of my system and I feel GREAT! I swithched from Whey shakes to Jay Robb Egg Protein Shakes (24 g per scoop)...and I love them. You can get them online or in vitamin type stores. Our "The Vitamin Shoppe" has them. They aren't artificially sweetened. They are sweetened with stevia...a natural sweetner. I threw everything away that had aspartame (artificial sweetners) that was in my house and gave a friend of mine who likes the whey shakes all my shakes and protein powder.
I am so happy I found those shakes and discovered it was the artificial sugars making me sick. After a few days, I felt brand new...amazing. Also try Crysal Light PURE. There are 3 or 4 flavors of it and it is sweetened with Stevia instead of aspartame.
Good luck. :)
