Just curious what everyone brought and what they wish they brought to make your stay easier or more comfortable.

Bring earplugs and an eye mask for sleeping!--those were the two things I was most grateful to have.

I took 2 pairs of my loosest fitting stretchy pants, what I wish is that I had bought a pair a size bigger, for me I swelled up so much in my Tummy my pants felt like they were choking me!!  (7 days later I'm back in my pants and with much less swelling)
Lipgloss!
Bring warm socks, cold post surgery
Slippers would have been nice

Skip crosswords and books u don't want to concentrate at all!

Added a Spanish to English translator to itouch, loved it!

Hot pad was other item I wish I had.

Pack light you don't need much! I overpacked and trust me it was pointless!

Earplugs were a life saver! I brought books, but was too out of it to read the first day and went home early the second day. Get up and walk as soon as possible after surgery to help push the gas out of your abdomen. Good luck!

I was good with my phone and iPad (and cords for both).  Everything else that I needed was provided.  Like others said, wear or bring loose sweat or yoga pants and a loose bra.

I overpacked as well and the nurse yelled at me for picking up my bag! LOL. I brought a book but i couldnt concentrate enough to read them. I had my cell phone and charger, they had most of the toiletries i needed. Some slippers with grippers on the bottom, chapstick, gas x strips, a pillow would have been nice.

I drastically underpacked - in fact, when I went back into pre-op, i handed my mom my purse and phone, and went in with the clothes on my back. Since I didnt see anyone until I was being released...I had exactly nothing for 23 hours. I think I wish I had my phone at least to listen to music and chat with friends because I didnt sleep a single hour the whole time i was in the hospital, but really, it was kind of nice to be disconnected lol.

I took slippers, comfy stretchy capri yoga pants (from target), sports bra that zipped in the front, gas x strips, I took my macbook loaded with movies (watched em all), ear buds  & plugs, I took a book (pointless), couple buillion cubes (for plane/hotel), hygiene/comfort essentials (nothing overboard), undies, lip balm.

I wish i had brought a ****yx pillow, the hospital beds always suck. I've heard its common to get a bruised tailbone or some kind of bone in the butt. This does not go away easily and I still have a pain in the ass so to speak 7 days PO.

If youre going to MX take something light to wear its HOT there and almost unbearable to walk around outside unless youre used to that kind of heat.

Good luck!!

Chapstick and Biotene dry mouth spray.  I was unable to drink anything -- could only use a swab until the next day.  Those two items saved me or I would have lost my mind.  My mouth was SOOO dry.

I bought the Biotene and then my physician asst told me - I couldn't use it in the hospital - I am so dreading the dry mouth, especially since the leak test is over 24 hrs from surgery.  Your surgeon didn't give you any trouble over using the Biotene?
