It pays to marry well. :)
I had a light work day today, and spend a good deal of time hanging out at home, reading and having an easy day. All through the day, incredible smells have been coming from my kitchen. Alan is working from home today too and most of his work will be done later, so he had all this time to play. He has been cooking up a storm. He made healthy sweet and sour pork strew, more tortilla soup, a middle eastern chicken concoction that smells amazing, and he's making a new batch of homemade sausage with garlic, fresh herbs and sun-dried tomatoes. I am so in love with my guy. Whoever said that the path to a man's heart is through his stomach should have included women in the discussion. Because seriously people this is what love looks like....

My wife and I work from home frequently. She has been a great help to me throughout this adventure. A good spouse is a great treasure. She stayed with me in the hospital and gets up each morning to walk with me in the neighborhood. I took care of her when she had surgeries in the past and that is just how we roll....
We get it..
We get it..
That's funny! Poor man, that whole oven thing can get really complicated. :)
In truth, being married to your best friend is the most amazing thing of all. Yes, he cooks, but on a more serious level, he just gets me and loves me, flaws and all. He loved me and wanted me when I was heavy and never once made me feel less than, and he chases me around the house now as if nothing has changed. He is a great father to our children, always volunteering for school projects, little league, or just to play some basketball in the front yard. And he serenades us with beautiful music, ( he is a great guitar player) every single night. I don't think I would know how live life without him, he has spoiled me rotten. I hope he feels just as loved as I do all these years later.
