Weekend NSV, With Pictures!
Hi everyone!
Just a quick note to share a fun NSV from the weekend. Apologies to my MFP friends, because you've already been bombarded with this picture!
We had a Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, and I needed a costume on the fly since apparently we didn't bring our bin of Halloween stuff when we moved to NC from Oregon last year. Of course, I didn't look for any of it until the last minute, leaving no time for getting a real costume! I dug around a bit and found and old Grateful Dead tee from my senior year in high school and a bunch of beads, bracelets, and a bell anklet. I was pretty sure the shirt wouldn't fit, but tried it on anyway. Guess what? It fit! Not ovesized like when I was in high school, but well enough to wear in public. I was shocked, and thrilled! So, hippie it was. I even used a flat iron to straighten my hair (parted in the middle, of course.) Not sure if it really counts as a costume since I owned all the parts already but it worked!
On a whim I tried on my favorite dress from high school, a hippie-style quilted thing that I used to wear all the time. It has been hanging on the back of my bathroom door as a motivator. I'm excited to say that while it definitely doesn't fit-fit, it did at least go on and sort-of fit, which feels so awesome. I'll be flitting around in it eventually!
So, a pic of me in my old tee, ready for some Trunk or Treating:

And just to add a smile to your Tuesday, my little pirate:

Have I mentioned lately that I love my sleeve? Almost ten weeks, and down 46 pounds. I can't believe how close I am to my 50 pound mini-goal already. I'm enjoying the heck out of Couch 2 5K, too. So good, so good.
Hope everyone has a great rest of the week! I'm still fighting this cold, but I'm going to beat it soon!

Awesome NSV!! I have been fitting back into clothes that I used to wear before I had my son about 3 1/2 years ago, and it feels AWESOME!! And I love C25K too!! Although, I can't see how in the world you are past week 4! =) I decided that if I do week 4 for the rest of my life, I am ok with that because it is soooo hard! But Congrats girl! And your little boy is so cute!
