Stall.........................................
Jewelz,
I am feeling your pain! Was stuck at 190 for almost 2 weeks and now at 189 for 1.5 weeks. I will be the first to admit that I have not been getting all my protein or water each day. I am bumping up the water today to see if that helps. I have to do better at logging my food on MFP as well. Starting out I was OCD about logging my food but as the weeks go on I have let it slid.
Ready for the scale to start moving again. Half way to goal and ready to be there already!!
Stick with it girl! My weight loss has been moving at a turtles pace the past three weeks and it feels like as soon as I hit 199 my body just decided enough is enough. I am sticking with it and hope that my body is just sorting itself out! I keep telling myself this journey is a marathon not a 100m dash!
Thats weird that your surgeon is giving you time based deadlines. Most of the ones I have talked to don't do that - as it can set up a mental process that leads you to feel like a failure and "all or nothing" thinking. I'd blow a raspberry at his ass for that.
As for the stall, Mine ALWAYS happened near a milestone - onderlenad, 50% EWL, whatever it was. The week before hitting that milestone my rate would zero out or id go in reverse. I am pretty sure it was my mind ******g with me.
The other thing that would trigger stalls for me is when Something in my chemistry would change. When I cam off different meds for blood pressure, diabetes, antibiotics, etc. Anything like that would cause me to stall out.
The best advice I can give - Stick to your plan. Make sure you get as much water as you possibly can - water is the fuel that our bodies use to drive the weight loss process. If you are over exerting yourself and not getting enough water your body will actually go into a process of retaining water - and that equals stalls and gains. Remember the magic formula is 1/2 of your body weight in pounds in ounces of water. 64 is just a minimum - not a goal.
