3 month postop labs - what should I get?

I see my PCP a week from this Thursday. What labs should I have her order? My insurance will cover anything she orders, so cost is not an issue. Here are the ones I have on my list so far:

CBC w/diff and platelet (have had high platelets in past)

CMP

Vitamin A, E, K, D and D3, B12, folate, all the B’s and C

Iron and TIBC (since I had anemia)

Lipid panel

TSH, T3, and T4

Anything else??

Thanks for your input!

Sheryl

Well, don't know if this will help, but this is on the list for my first postop lab (will be only five weeks postop):

CBC w/ diff

iron, ferritin, TIBC

calcium

magnesium

phosphorus

SMA-7

liver function tests (alk. phos., SCOT, SGPT, bili)

albumin, total protein

folate

Vitamin B12

cholesterol / lipid panel

prealbumin

Vitamin B1

Vitamin A

hemoglobin A1C

Then my PCP is adding on a few of her own related to my existing dx of hypothyroidism.

Make sure you get PTH, without it- calcium levels are irrelevant as your body keeps blood Ca levels within a tight level... you will not know your actual status w/o PTH (lower is better, higher means you are pulling Ca from your bones.)

Here's the list I get:

CBC

Comprehensive Met panel

Pro time, PT/INR

Iron

TIBC

ferritin

transferrin

Copper

Zinc

Total protein

albumin

pre-albumin

Folate

Vitamin A (DO NOT EXPOSE TO LIGHT)

vitamin B 1 (Don't expose to light)

vitamin B6 (also do not expose to light)

vitamin B12

vitamin D (Dhydroxy 25, 0,25 – NOT 1,25)

PTH (for use with calcium and vitamin D levels, where is calcium coming from)

Thank you! I'm so glad you brought that up because I am just remembering that my preop labs showed I was low on calcium! I only started taking calcium citrate the past few weeks, so my calcium might be even lower (sigh).

This is exactly the info I was looking for - thank you so very much!

I thought I saw somewhere that you should stop taking your supplements a few days before the blood draw. Anyone know if that is true?
