Back to the SLEEVE!!

For anybody who has seen my previous posts lamenting the fact that the VA had a year waiting list, and Medicare will not pay for the sleeve in my state, all is well.  This week I made arrangements to have a bypass in January, paid for by Medicare.  Then this evening I received a call  from Pittsburgh VA stating that they had only the second cancelation in 9 years. Because I am in relatively good health they gave me the spot for January 30th.  What a Christmas gift!  I will have to start Optifast on Christmas Eve, but it will be so worth it.  I was having trouble convincing myself that the bypass was the best choice for me.   I feel so relieved.

Yes, Medicare has approved nation wide however each Region has to approve now. Our region is Palmetto for Northern California is messing with our heads, the DRAFT document says Jan. 31st, 2013 or after however they still have not stamped it FINAL and I just can not go ahead with the RNY it's just not for me..

So MERRY CHRISTMAS to you I am very happy for you.
