Full foods help, getting bored.

I'm cleared for full foods now and I am just getting so BORED with my food. I eat the same things everyday and have for quite some time. My go-to's are eggs, greek yogurt, boca burgers, cheese & jerky. I'm not much of a cook and I don't like a lot of meats so it feels like I'm just constantly eating the same things and it's for sure making my head hunger worse because I just want something DIFFERENT! Anyone have any suggestions, recipes or anything to help me branch out a little bit? I'm 9 weeks post-op if that matters.

Do you like Chili? Turkey goes down very nicely for me and turkey picks up all the flavors of this chili. Its fast, takes less than 30 mins to make and its easy to shop for. You can make is as mild or as spicy as you like.

I made this the other day and it was great!! I tried looking for your recipe for Taco Casserole but couldn't find it.  Do you have the link? I heard you talking about it before and really wanna try it.  Thanks!

I'm not sure what kind of meats you like but I found this book at Barnes and Nobles the other night and it has TONS of easy meat recipes.  It is called Fix-It and Forget-It Lightly: Healthy Low-fat Recipes for Your Slow Cooker.  I didn't buy it at Barnes and Nobles but ordered it for 7 bucks off Amazon! It has tons of low carb recipes for chicken, beef, pork, etc. and you can make them all in your slowcooker.  I think this will be great for me because I'll have to make most of my meals separate from my family and this will help.  Maybe look into this or some other low carb cookbook or sites online for inspiration.

Good luck!

Try Chili...YUM

also don't be afraid to try other things,  you said you don't cook much but if you have a smart phone there are tons of great apps that will have you making a meal in under 30 minutes or less.  i like "all recipe spinner"  its has tons of choices and a slow cooker section.

after surgery my slow cooker has become my best friend.  you just need to try other things thats all

good luck
