Waiting on my pre op appt to get surgery date!!!!

I'm super excited about my upcoming surgery. I am having the Gastric Sleeve performed. I have tons of questions for anyone who may have information to share with me. 1st I have been on the Depo shot for years due to painful periods but have to get off of it for the surgery and the prescription that my PCP prescribes for me is off limits too, so what can be taken for pain and what is the best birth control after surgery. 2nd I have had IBS all my life or at least as far back as I can remember and I am wondering if there is anyone who has suffered with IBS and had this surgery and what was the outcome. Did it get worse/better?
