Vision changes postop ??

I am finding that my vision has changed since having surgery. I get blurred vision fairly often - while at the computer, while driving, while reading. Anyone else experienced this? I just had an eye exam in October 2012, but I'm thinking I should probably go back and get another exam. Does anyone know if it could be vitamin related?

thanks for any input on this!

I have no idea if its vitamin related. In fact, this makes me want to ask my doctor if it could be. I always had 20/20 vision but now notice that I get blurry vision if something is too close to my face like my iPhone or when I try to read something. For some reason, I wasn't too concerned about it since it doesn't bother me too much but maybe I should still try to find out.

Jenn, I hate to tell you this, but blurry vision close up sounds like presbyopia of aging. If it is better when you hold your iPhone out, borrow some drug store readers first in a 1.0 and see if that does the trick.

Thanks for responding. Yours does sound more like the aging kind - I have that too :)  I read that low vitamin A can cause blurry vision. I will be due for 6 month labs in a few weeks. I think I'll get that checked!

Lucky you .... you look very young! I think the opposite happened with my weight loss. I look in the mirror and want to know what my mother is doing there! Ugh!

I am having problems too. I have read a side effect of the spasm medication is blurry vision. I just had an exam 1/7 so insurance won't pay for another. My surgery was 2/27.

Thanks for responding Gina. I just had an exam in October and so can't get another until next October if I want insurance to pay. I am bummed. I read this could be a vitamin A deficiency, so I think I'll get that checked with my 6 month labs in a few weeks.

My vision was extremely blurry for a couple week after surgery and it wasn't vitamins because I hadn't started taking them yet.  It has gotten better now and my vision is back to where it was pre-op.  Hope yours recovers quickly as well.
