NSV - getting rid of my winter clothes

For the past couple of days I've been going through my closet and dresser. All my winter clothes are in boxes for the thrift store! I will not be wearing THOSE sizes again! Praise the Lord!

A few of my hand-me-down summer clothes rated a "nope, too baggy" comment from my husband! Those went into the thrift-store-box as well!

This weekend I'll be at the thrift store looking for summer shirts.  Today I reached 50# lost.

Yay, you! The other day I dropped 9 bags of clothes sized 20 up to 30/5x and brought home some 16's. (Thrift/charity store my new haunt till I make goal). The experience was both liberating and thrilling. Can't wait to schlepp the 16's in for smaller still. Enjoy the experience. It's only going to get better.

Miss150,

I too was able to stop my diabetes meds and my A1C went down an entire point without them. (from 6.8 to 5.8).

I'm curious about you're being able to get off of your BP medication. How often was it charted before your doc determined you could get off of it?

I want OFF of my BP meds too!

Chris

Hi- isn't it wonderful getting off some of those meds? Huge benefit! My overall health had been improving gradually and medications reduced and tapering slowly since July 2011 when I started losing some of the weight on my own. The weight loss surgery just was a final transition to going completely off. Blood pressure pretty normal for several months prior. I continue to monitor at home. Dr. attributes it as much to the 60 min cardio x 5 days a week for the past year as the weight loss. Wishing you best of luck.
