Is there a website that you can check surgeons credentials?

Just wanted to know if there was a website that you can access to find out if there are any malpractice lawsuits, complications of leaks or deaths for any and all bariatric surgeons?

You can look up a doctor's standing with the medical board. It will give info on Letters of Admonition, Disciplinary actions, etc. That might be a place to start. It will not give info about complaints or investigations though. Google Department of Regulatory Agencies for your state. It's public information.

The best place to start is where pharmergirl recommended:  with the medical board in the state of your doctor's practice.  That information is usually publicly accessible and will let you know if disciplinary action has been taken, but it won't give you more specific information than that.  At least the board here in Texas doesn't.
