Questions before my "date"...
I am three days out from starting my liquid pre-op diet....yay! (I think)
I am looking to get organized before I begin and before I have surgery....so I want to get everything for my pre-op diet and as much as I can for my after-surgery diet this weekend.
First of all....what Multi-Vitamin, Sub lingual B-12 and Calcium Citrate (w/Vitamin D and Magnesium) should I take? I'd like to start taking all that when I start my liquid diet. The doctor's little manual thing says no children's vitamins but I dont want anything that taste terrible...and I'd like that whatever I get be "complete". Any suggestions?
Also, anything "go-to" items I should get to make the liquid diet more bearable? I have tasted the required bariatric protein shakes and they're terrible....so I am looking forward to a miserable week.

I take Centrum Chewables for my multivitamin (you can purchase at Walmart or any pharmacy). My Chewable Calcium Citrate, B-12 and chewable iron I get from online at Bariatric Advantage.
I didn't have to do the liquid diet for more than 2 days so I don't really have any info on that portion of your question. The 1st week after surgery - sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello, Unjury Chicken Soup, Powerade Zero, Crystal Light and Clear Broth.
Congrats on your upcoming date!!
Have you tried Unjury Chocolate Splendor? It's pretty good when mixed with almond milk. I also like Isopure zero carb RTD in the Icy Orange flavor.
The pre-op diet is the toughest part...I was on mine for 3 weeks. It wasn't easy but it was so worth it. My doctor was glad I started it a week earlier than he asked me to! Said it made the surgery go much more smoothly than it would otherwise have gone.

I just go tmy b-12 at Sam's Club, I use the Caltrate chewable calcium-Vit. D, and I tried to do the O'Purity chewable vitamins but just couldn't stand them. They made me gag big time. i still have flashbacks! i called and the nurse gave me the OK to try swallowing a multi-vitamin. I got a generic vitamin (like "Centrum under 50"
...continued...I HATE using the ipad on this site!!!!
It always locks up & refuses to cooperate--ugh!
Centrum generic from target, and "Vitafusion Vit. d3 gumies" from Target as well. i am at 4 months ans just started using a biotin sublingual (from Sam's) as well. On second thought, it may have been my surgeon who gave me the go-ahead for the regular multi-vitamin, around 7 weeks. Good luck!

I went ahead and ordered 60 days worth of the Bariatric Advantage Multi, B12 and Calcium in a few different flavors....
Centrum didn't look complete enough to me and I was nit-picking a bunch of other brands, so I finally just bit the bullet.
