shingles pre-op
its 1 week pre op and last Friday I got a rash went to pcp and he was not shore what it was had me come back on Monday and said that he was pretty shore it was shingles but it looked like it was going away and should no effect the surgery next Monday
I called the surgeon , he is still on vacation till Friday so a an waiting for his nurse to call me back I don't know if she will call my surgeon or the other surgeon in the practice
so I hope my surgery is still on , this is the second time I started the liquid diet and it is no fun
anyone else have this experience , I was told by my pcp that stress brings it on
That sucks.... Shingles can be sooo painful. Hope it's resolved before next week. Did your Doc put you on antivirals? I've never had shingles, but I've had chicken pox, so I know I have the virus inside me. It's not something I'm worried about getting in the next two weeks. I'm more worried about the weather...... hoping a hurricane doesn't brew in the Carribbean / Florida area.... I'd hate for anything to interfere with me traveling to Mexico, after all.... it is hurricane season. I hope it resolves, your surgery won't be cancelled and you'll be all better soon. Rest.... it's the best thing you can do. Physical and emotional stress precipitates an outbreak.
