Don't beat yourself up. I did that as well the first time. Tried it on my own and lost 18 lbs then decided to go through with it three months later. If you're not ready it's ok and don't let anyone tell you it's not! Good luck to you and if you do decide later on to go through with it, that's just fine too. You need to do what's right for you!

Hi,

The surgery is always an option in the future, if you change your mind.  I had to really hit bottom before doing anything as drastic as removing most of my stomach.  I can totally understand your hesitation.

You'll do what is right for you, and find a path that works.

This is a life changing thing ang you have to be ready. Take some time to think about it go to the dietician join a support group or therapy. See where it takes you. I once said I would never ever have WLS. I was so against it. And now I am happy and grateful it was an option for me. I'm not saying you will feel that way one day. Keep on fighting for your life. You are worth it.

HEY  You don't have to stay fat.  Like everyone says over and over, it is a tool, it is not everything.  If you read the book "Fat Chance" by Lustig and follow his outline you will become healthier, and yes, you will lose weight.  The sleeve is about quantity, not quality, so start with quality of intake.

curious..WHY? your obviously not happy but angry with yourself ...about your decision to cancel.

I mean ya coulda canceled .and not posted a thing here. Did ya need us to validate yer decision or a couplea stories to convince ya otherwise?.

I for sure will be the one to convince ya otherwise ,-)  I got a doozy of a story for you... about F-n with TIME (my god) and redemption

WLS will be here if and when ...you are sure

I cancelled my first scheduled surgery too.  I rescheduled for 6 months later.....I wanted to give myself one last ditch chance of losing it on my own (but that was not the reason I gave to my surgeons office.)  Needless to say it didn't work out.   I was afraid of having surgery but honestly it wasn't that big a deal.  I could have went home the same day of surgery. I had more pain and issues with my two C-sections than I did with my Sleeve surgery.  I don't know what your reasons are for cancelling but I hope you are able to achieve whatever it is you are hoping for in life.  I was hoping to get rid of my type 2 diabetes and my insatiable appetite and the sleeve has accomplished that for me.  Good luck!!!
