The protein first "trick"
So tonight I made a lovely meal of trader joes chicken sausage (which I swore I wouldn't eat, but the peer pressure here is awful j/k) mixed veggies and mashed sweet potatoes.
I carefully weighed 2 oz of meat, picked 2 cubed carrot bits and two green beans from the veggies and plopped down about 1teaspoon of sweet potatoes on my plate. Of course, once I ate my "protein first" I could only smoosh in the two tiny carrot bits before I was full. The sweet potatoes were a mere dream. Lol. I can only assume our nuts and docs know very well that if we eat our protein first, veggies second there will be NO room for starch. Those clever people.

i cant realy say when/how much my stomach has stretched...just over time I could start eating more.
Now at 2 years - I can eat a small size normal meal. I have eaten a 12" sandwich from subway over 30 minutes (yeah -dont ever recommend that - ouch) and I can eat about 6-8oz of moist meat or meat in sauces. i can only eat 2-3 oz of super dry meat (especially meatloaf).
