What's with the tailbones?

At first I thought it was just me but over the past week I've seen several others noting how their tailbones just don't appreciate sitting for long stretches after weight loss.

What's up with this?

I don't know but it's ANNOYING!  It even hurts when I'm laying down sometimes!  Who would have thought I'd be wishing for some fat on my butt?! lol

I'm sitting here laughing at this post. I am working at my kitchen table today and sitting on a lovely wooden kitchen chair, and wondering if I should go get a pillow or something. It's not my tail bone per se... it's my sit-bone per yoga lingo. And let me tell ya, I need me a cushion!

OMG, whether I'm sitting at work, laying down, or sitting to get my hair done...it doesn't matter. My butt be on FIRE, ok! It's the worst when I get up and I'm coming off the pressure, like, it's the worst pain ever! I hate it. I feel like a lil ole lady why I try to get up. People look at me like I'm crazy 'cause I get up really slow and literally slide my way up. LOL My sis who is a personal trainer keeps telling me to do exercises in that area to build up muscle. I wonder if that would help.

OH MY YES!
I chalk it up to
1. less padding, and
2. as my belly decreases, my chiropractor finds I adjust much differently. I suspect there is a change in how my central mass impacts/acts on my pelvic structure, thus changing the job of my tailbones. So, they may be grumpy, and/or they may be contacting surfaces differently than they did before. My SI joints are also giving me grief lately.

Hubby and I are investing in the expensive suspension stadium chairs for this fall's marching band season. Life's too short for a sore tushie.

My SI joint on the left side has been KILLING me since surgery.  :(  And my hipbones are poking through when I sleep on my side now so that's no fun.  Ah well...one set of health problems in exchange for another....I'll take it.  Now for how long...we'll see.

If I lose anymore poundage (is that a word) in my butt, I'm going to cry.  I even got padded panties and they work pretty good.  8 bucks at the dollar store.

Oh that is too funny, too work so hard to lose all this weight and then we go and buy padded panties so our butts don't hurt when we sit.  LOL

I too have noticed it especially if it slouch and sit more on my back then my butt.  I even thought I might have broken/bruised my tailbone cuz it hurt so bad.  I didn't, I just chalk it up to skinny person problems witch I will trade for the fat person problems I use to have any day!

So I'm not the only one who's gotten a sore tailbone after losing a bunch of weight! Less padding, I guess.
