1 Year Post-op - Before and After

I had my VSG surgery on Aug 6, 2012. It has changed my life. My starting weight was 230 lbs and now I am 150 lbs... that is 80 lbs. I am 5' 4.5" tall. I'm not quite to goal yet but I'm getting closer!! My surgeon considers 150 lbs success in his eyes. That means a lot. Thank you Dr Metz!!

I haven't had a chance to be on OH much lately but I lived on this forum pre-op and those first months post-op. It was OH that got me started and taught me so much so I wanted to share this with you guys. I have no regrets. I love my sleeve!!

Me and my husband last May and a few days ago :) Even he lost 20 lbs over the past year.

You look amazing. I am 4 weeks post op and posts like this makes me so excited for what is to come.

Thank you so much! I have been stuck at 150 lbs for the past month. I saw 149.2 lbs a couple of times. I'm really hoping to get into the 130s at least. I think I'm going to have to crack down to break thru this stall. You are doing great in your journey! We got this!

CONGRATULATIONS!!  You look Fabulous!!  You're an inspiration... Our starting and goal weights are very similar.... I wish I could get to wonderland... but I'm working on the stress eating and haven't mastered it yet!!!

Thank you Elisa! I hear you on the stress eating. I have been fighting that battle a lot lately which is why I think I've been stuck at 150 lbs for the past month. I haven't mastered that yet either. I've never been a fast loser. I was slow and steady until the past month. I'm going to have to take it to a new level to get this last 20 lbs.

Wow! You look fantastic! CONGRATULATIONS! This gives me inspiration. I too am 230lbs (5' 4.5") pre-op and want to be about 150. Do you have problems with loose skin? That is my worst fear.
Can't wait till it's my turn to share my 1 year post-op before and afters.
