Actually yesterday was my anniversary, but CRAZY busy in work and didn't have a chance to post.  What a huge difference in my life these past 5 months!  I seriously feel 20 years younger and probably look 10 years younger!  I managed to lose another 7 lbs this month, and that was with another vacation thrown in!

This month's measurements:

Weight -7, neck -1/2", (total of 2.5"), waist -1.8" (total 11"), hips -1" (total of 9.5"), chest -1" (total -8"), arms 0 this month (total of 3.5"), thighs -1/2" (total of 6.5").

I have been exercising 6 days a week, even on vacation, but got thrown off a bit when I was sick (sinus infection).  Back to walking at lunch time this week for 40 minutes, and then went to gym last night for weights and tonight I did 1/2 hour yoga On Demand video.  This past Sunday, hubby and I walked a 5.5 mile trail, rode our bikes back then biked to a vineyard another 4 miles away and then back 4 miles to the car.  I ran/walked on Saturday.  I LOVE how I feel when I work out every day.

Work is insane but I have so much more energy and patience that it is helping me to deal with the stress.

I am 28 lbs from my first goal...a weight I was when I was very fit 10 years ago.  I'll see how I feel/look when I get to that.  Maybe I'll want to lose more?  Not sure yet.

I am so happy that I was fortunate enough to have this surgery suggested to me.  I had never considered it, and was really feeling defeated and unable to imagine losing the weight on my own.  I would do it again in a heart beat!  I was officially taken off of the diabetes list by my PC...it is no longer on my chart as a diagnosis! My other levels are excellent, just tweaking things to get my cholesterol completely turned around (it's still MUCH better than it was prior to surgery, but not normal range yet).

I am thinking about writing a cookbook. I absolutely love to cook, and have been experimenting with different recipes/ideas that I can eat and also that my husband can (he has many, many food allergies).  Rather than feel that this surgery has limited my food options, it has actually opened the door to my creativity.  We are trying even more foods and recipes now than ever, and eat out often, too.  We just don't eat CRAP food!

Here are a few pix (sorry, not the greatest pix lol...but gives an idea of the loss so far!)  Now, month 3 and pre-op.
