So I'm 5 months post surgery and am having this much hair loss after I shower. Is anyone else having this much loss? I've been taking Biotin and Zinc as indicated by my doctor. Good thing I started off with lots of hair so it's not as noticeable yet.

That looks to be about the same amount I lose after brushing my hair when I get  out  of the shower.  Then add about another  half a handful after blow drying.  It is very annoying, but  like you, I have lots of thick hair so while I notice it obviously, other people don't seem to.  My doctor said that there is really nothing to do to stop it  or slow it down really.  I take Biotin daily and use a biotin shampoo/conditioner as well, but that only helps with regrowth which I seem to have quite a bit of.  It just looks small and fuzzy around my hairline.  Oh well, I will take the weight loss progress and huge health benefits and buy a wig for awhile if it comes to that.

I agree, I'll take the weight loss any day. :)

I had much more, but it was only maybe twice the amount that I usually shed.  It wasn't noticeable to anyone but me, and at almost a year out, even the thinning I had at the temples is gone.

The hair loss has been really bad this month (month 5) and it's very noticeable in the front...I see bald spots.  However, I am beginning to see new growth which is a really good sign.

Not looking forward to the hair loss phase.  I don't have a lot of hair to begin with so...yeah.  Probably won't be too bad for you since you have lots of hair to begin with.  Thanks for posting a pic of the amount though because I've been freaking out over one strand as the 'beginning' and it's just typical stuff I'm sure...so, now I know what people are talking about.  I'm about 7 weeks post-op.

Mine was more then this as well, luckily I also had a thick head of hair to start off with. I lost consistently from 3-6 months post op. Now I look like a chia pet with all the new growth LOL

Don't worry girl, it will stop and it will grow back!
