Where did you get your compression shirts and what brands do you recommend!?

I used Calvin Klein Core Sculpt shirts.  They held well and were long enough that they didnt roll up on top of my panni.  The shorter, athletic shirts would always ride up.

Seriously? You really sink or it's just a question of balance and finding that equilibrium in the water again? I recently got on a bike and felt the balance kind of changed. It took me a little while before I could ride it comfortably again. I am sure you will float again and swim again. Might take some getting used to though. It's true that with all the fat we had we didn't need the Dead Sea to float - it was easy. Now we'll have to relearn how to tread water and all that. Fun!

Seriously I sink like a rock.  Its an issue of learning my new body.  I will relearn in time and with enough practice.  Like I said, I know the theory and WHAT to do, is just a matter of figuring out HOW now that I dont have the built in life preserver.  My buoyancy has changed quite a bit.

so interesting about the swimming. i was always a natural swimmer and i think because i was a fatty kid.

but think about those olympic swimmers. i bet michael phelps hardly has an once of body fat. you might have to learn to swim all over again.  all the best. diane

You made me smile Rob- thank you!  Here are a few from me to add to the list.

1.  My armpit has turned into the bat cave.  Seriously, shaving there is bordering on self-mutilation.

2.  Falling.  Kind of weird, but I have fallen more in the last 21 months than the previous 10 years combined.  Once dead on top of a student in an assembly filled with all 400 plus students and parents.  Not cool.  Thank God the kid was such a trooper and my class handled it beautifully.  Pretty sure it is just a very, very slow learning curve adjusting to my changing center of gravity.

3.  Yep to ring size and shoe size.  Ring size dropped from an 8 to a 5, and the last resize the jeweler felt so bad he just did it for free.

4.  Curly, curly hair when it was straight before surgery.  WTF?  Not just a little curly mind you- full blown ringlets and rocking my fro.

5.  Pantyhose now fit, but my legs are so damn long I still have to buy really big sizes to try and make up for the length.

I know what you mean about the 'pits.  I could put my whole fist in them before my last round of plastics.  I had kind of gotten used to going spelunking to put on deodorant.  It was so weird after my plastics to put it on like a normal person again.
