4 mths out
I am now 4 mths out and it seems like it's been forever. Getting sleeved is like having your first child...it is rough in the beginning and then you don't remember life before it!
I have lost about 64 lbs and feel great. My only concern is this hair loss. It started to get really noticeable last month and has not stopped since. The handfuls of hair I get a day is scary. I had thick hair and don't mind at this point but if it doesn't stop soon I am afraid it will be noticeable to others. I hope it stops soon.
I love clothes again. I love wanting to be see my friends again and going to social events. I love eating healthy and am used to not drinking with my meal (which I thought would be impossible!).
I love my sleeve and what it has done for me and hope it continues to help me maintain a healthy active life.
Just thought i'd share!!
Congrats!
Pretty much in the same boat as you, except: (a) also love clothes, (b) extremely unhappy that I can biuy any LOL. Afterall, why waste the money, in two months an purchase won't fit.

Love clothes! Love, love love clothes!!! Love clothes( oh, ya, I already said that). On the hair loss- it seems to be the inevitable bummer, and it seems, also, that it will never end': but it will. Hang in there- all tat hair on the floor, drain, and in the brush will come to an end. Just part of the process- a trade off I gladly paid.

Loved your post -- so many positives! Keep up the great work!
Yeah, the hair thing. It seems to be a necessary evil for almost all of us. It should stop in time -- probably months from now, from what I've read and from my own experience.
I'm a bit over ten months out and can declare officially that my hair loss has noticeably slowed and (she said hopefully) maybe even has stopped. I do see new hair coming in, but unfortunately it's of the wiry silver-gray variety and not of the silky dark blonde variety of my earlier years. ::sigh:: I'm 55yo, so I guess I can't really complain. :) Over all I'd say I've lost one-third to one-half of my original volume of hair, but some of that might be due to menopause.
As I understand it it's not really a matter of the hair being weak, but rather it's the normal cycle of hair loss and regrowth being disrupted, with regrowth being delayed while the hair loss seems more prominent with no regrowth happening at the same time. It's known as telogen effluvium. I'm sure there are many here who could explain it better than I am at the moment.
Congratulations on losing 64 pounds in 4 months. That's a good rate! Its great to hear of your success and your up-beat attitude. Good work!
