I called my insurance company to check the status about 3 weeks after my doctors office said they submitted it. The rep I spoke with said that they didn't have it in the system. My dr office had even given me the claim number for it and they said they didn't have it. Turns out, it does go to different people and they had it all along. If your doctors office said they sent it, they very well could have. Since you've been having so many problems with everything, you might want to call the dr office and insist that they call the insurance company to verify everything has been received and hopefully they can get you a claim number for it, even if it's still pending.
