The asked me to do what?!
So last night was the night I went to be a speaker for my surgeon's seminar he hosted at his new facility. It was AWESOME! I was nervous but quickly got over it while I sat there observing all the potential new patients and remembered I was in that exact spot 13 months ago after I started my journey.
Not only did last night go fantastic, they asked me if I wanted to do a testimonial next month where it would be filmed and put into a commercial. WOAH. Now, I dont know much information about it entirely yet, but I will be in a group with just a select few post op patients, all different months post op, OR even where the commercial will be aired, you know, some are aired on random small not very popular channels. Which is fine. I think that people out there should be more aware of WLS options. It literally saves lives.
Side note: I met with a 'sales rep'? If that is what she was called, who introduced me to some 'new thing' for Vitamin B12. Its Nascobal (Cyanocobalamin, USP) nasal spray - is what it says on the box. You use it 1x a week 1 spray 1 nostril. That's it. Has anyone heard of this?? I now take a powder B12 (and all other vitamins are powder form) called Nutrametrix. I take Vitamin D with K2, Multi with Iron, Activated B complex, and Calcium Complete. I want to do more research on this nasal spray. Also, its just $25 or less per bottle, once a month basically. I pay over 100 for my powder vitamins. This would help cut cost for me.
Just wanted to share some happy news =)
Peace, love, and healthy living!
Congrats to you. I have heard of the spray but have never tried it nor do I personally know anyone who has used it. If it was your surgeon's office who told you about it....then it will probably be OK. If not....call them and ask their opinion on it. They are experts there and they should know if it works. If they have no knowledge of it. I wouldn't change. Not worth being deficient in any vitamins to try something new.

Congratulations, young lady! That is a fantastic way to pay this forward, and it took some intestinal fortitude, as they say.
How exciting that you might be in a commercial!
Keep up the great work!
