So...........

The one thing I hate....... is getting something...... discover you really like it.... than wanting more...... but it's not available anymore.......discontinued.....out of season.... whatever..... gone.....

I have been known to buy multiples of some favorite things (spares)......and I have to say it's paid off more times than not......

Back in the Fatboy days I would sometimes buy the next size up also...... you know..... anticipated weight gain....

I just bought 7 shirts all same in two colors.......same size......

My justification........ I hear myself..... telling myself.......just another reason to keep my skinny.......

Maintenance Strategy or Problem?????..........(I already know I'm not hooked up correctly)

I have been known to buy different colors of the same item because the product was perfect for my needs. They were classic items that don't go out of style and were high quality and well made.  I prefer those, because in my experience, they last longer.   Now...having said that..I'm a bargain shopper. I love me some Ebay and stalked those items until I got it for the price I wanted.

The shirts pictured are very nice and classic. You have one for every day of the week now!

We have some of this in common.  My thing has always been once I find something I like, I stock up.  Buying in patterns has been a real thing lately as I restock my closet.

What's disappointing this week is I'm still stocking up on winter needs only to find out everyone has shifted over to spring merchandise now.  It's made for quite a rush getting to all the sales.  This particularly funny since the worst winter months are still ahead of us.

I vote strategy (and good idea!) since I have done it myself. i bought two Talbots skirts for $20 each down from $110 in my then-current size and next size down. They are getting me through the winter! I will probably be out of the smaller one just in time for spring.

If it works for you, why not?

Wow, you unknowingly hit on a sensitive issue for me.  It was a strategy I employed in my Fatgirl days.  If it fit, and looked halfway decent, buy several in every color.  Never again.  I will ALWAYS be able to find clothes that fit and look GREAT.

That said, though ... welcome to our (women's) world, as far as makeup goes.  You find something that's the perfect color, texture, tint, whatever - it totally works for you, and it's gone the next time you go to get more.  Or they "improved" it right out of any usefulness. Grrrrr!

It's the opposite for me now.  For years I was limited to 6X polo shirts and 64/30 loose fit black jeans. Now I don't own any two of the same color/style/pattern. I go overboard on variety and proudly dress differently each day. Hell, I may even change clothes during the day if I'm home and going someplace else. Never had much option before.

Addiction? Perhaps, but healthier than crack or Little Debbies.

Strategy, problem, whatever, call it what you like, but..........................isn't a problem just an opportunity in disguise?

Frisco, you're in a rut!  Although I heartily agree with buying several of what you like, you need some color and pattern dude!  Black and dark blue signify trying to hide, at least for me.  How about some purple, or red for a change?  enlightened
