Today marked 1 month since my surgery. I am still oh-so-moody, but I have lost 24 lbs since surgery, and about 65 lbs over all. I go back to work tomorrow, and if I'm up to it, I'm going to go to the gym after. I've walked for exercise since surgery, but I haven't gone back to the gym for fear of pushing myself too far too fast. I tend to get lightheaded when I go from sitting to standing since surgery, and I feel like my blood pressure has been all over the place (high when I'm in pain or having any stomach discomfort and a little low the rest of the time). I've been afraid to overexert myself, and not be home or near home. My lifting restriction will be lifted in 2 weeks though, so I want to be back in the gym habit then. I'm excited to go back to work, but nervous about my energy levels. Here's to a great first week back!

24 pounds in a month is great!! I got lightheaded quite a bit that first month or two. My calories were sitting around 300-400 a day, so I wasn't very surprised. Listen to your body at the gym. You don't want to go passing out surrounded by a bunch of strangers!!

take care and keep up the great work!!
