I know exactly what you're talking about.  I have 2 of those giant plastic bins plus a small one or two full of my "small" clothes  I knew that SOMEDAY I was going to fit into them again if it killed me!  LOL!  When I was on WW 8 years ago and was losing weight...there was a Steinmart right beside it.  So I swear...every week, I bought something new.  I have a ton of cute clothes that I cant wait to wear again!!!  Hell, I have  a pair of jeans that I paid $110 for 20 years ago that I will fit in to...hopefully by next year.  I bought those pre-kids.  LOL!  And I'm 46 now.  They WILL fit me.  My surgery is Feb. 19th, so I'm beyond excited knowing that some of my cute summer clothes are going to fit me again this year...I haven't seen them in quite a few years now.

CONGRATULATIONS!  This is the best feeling in the world.  If I may make a comment, I went to the H&M store in the mall and was going to look for an XL top, well they don't have them, just SML so, I ended up with a large top and it fit fine.  SO, my dear, I give you a GIANT CYBER HUG and a cheer to our weight loss.  Never go back!

This is wonderful!!

I understand the overwhelmed and excited thing. Periodically, I have culled through my clothes and gotten my entire wardrobe down to a collection that could fit in a single suitcase. That is unnerving. My image consultant has helped me through, though, with ideas that are flexible and creative to help me not feel like I am wearing the same stuff again and again. The only stuff I have from pre surgery now is a huge pair of pants for an at goal photo op, and some souvenir tshirts that I now wear as nightgowns. Oh, and socks still fit. We donated 7 bags of clothing to a local women's shelter last weekend.

Why can't you wear skirts? If you are worried about scars, why not pair with dark/opaque tights? They have become my best friend lately because the control top kind keeps the lumps/bumps down on my belly!

Well, I still have steri-strips and stiches on one leg, but they are coming out Thursday. The scars are not attractive, but I don't really give a crap what anyone thinks of them. I guess my main problem is shoes. Right now the only shoes I can wear are athletic shoes (have been wearing one with my work dress pants, boot on the other foot - very cute look, I must say). I am really unsteady walking, even with the athletic shoes, so I may be forced to wear them for awhile. The only other shoes I have are black mary jane style shoes that I used to wear my orthotics in. Not sure how steady those will be, as they are really big now (feet have shrunk). So I need to get some new shoes eventually, but I have no idea what kind of shoes to buy or wear now that my feet are different from surgery. I guess I should quiz my doctor about that on Thursday.

But anyway...I found a cute brown wrap skirt, a brown dress, a tan "hippie style" skirt...my black shoes won't go with any of them. So by the time I can actually get and wear other shoes, they will probably be too big. But that's okay, I can buy more skirts :)

I saved a few of my biggest things - a shirt and pants, a swimsuit. I hope one day to be able to do the famous "two legs in one pant leg" pic.

On the one hand it is so GREAT to start skipping all those sizes...but then it kind of pissed me off because I would go out and buy work pants and then in a month they'd be loose on me.  Like you, I felt like I stayed the same size for a long time and them - BOOM! - started dropping.

Enjoy the shopping you'll get to do, but be careful about getting too much at one time.  You'll be amazed at how many sizes you drop between now and your goal :-)
