Do soups fill you up quicker than most foods?

I made campbells tomato soup with chicken and low fat cheese for dinner tonight.  Didn't eat much but I am uncomfortably full right now  I don't think I've been this full before now.  Thanks for the input.

Brandy - yes, this still happens to me.  I think it has to do with it being a mix of solids and liquids.

Soups about all I eat right now.  I measure out two ounces and that's all I eat and I do it very slow.  I'm only 4 weeks out so not expecting that I'll get in much more then that.

I'm about 3 months out now.  I did add some crackers to my dinner, but had it for lunch as well.  I decided I would have a higher carb day since I worked out.  Hmmm.....this is bad thinking isn't it.  I will stick to no crackers from now on.  LOL.  I got tired of the soups after 6 weeks of them, but enjoying them now.

I've been eating chunky soups...basically just picking out the beef and veggie chunks.  But I'm a special case, I've had major gallbladder problems.  I'm looking forward to getting on track now that my gallbladder has been removed.

I just read that.  I'm glad you're feeling better.  Things should be a breeze from here on out!  :)

I try to have more of the meat and vegs and less of the broth. the broth is what fills me up fast and not much protein in it.

Generally speaking, soup will go through your sleeve much quicker than dense protein. And I would stay away from crackers. I have seen crackers cause more problems with weight loss than any other food. And they have almost no nutritional value.

Thanks Grim,  I won't be doing the crackers anymore.  I (seem) to learn daily through my actions and reading other people's post on here.  Thankfully my mind seems to be getting more in control of this new lifestyle everyday.  Finally started working out, but need to keep telling myself it doesn't give me a free pass to eat! lol
