Hi! I am new to the forum. I have been lurking here as I was gathering info and making my decision for VSG. All your posts with the good and not so good results have been very helpful. I too am a little nervous but mostly excited to undertake this life change. At this time I don't have any family/friend support( hope that changes) but my PCP is mostly on board. Iam selfpay and will be going to Mexico in April for my procedure with Dr. Alvarez.  Thanks again I am glad I found OH!

Melissa,

Thanks for replying to my post.I feel welcomed officially:) How are you doing at 16 days? I imagine being tired and weak at that stage with my Dr. Only allowing liquids for the first 3weeks post-op.

I'm doing great at 16 days. I went back to work yesterday. I do tire easily, but as far as eating, I'm okay.  My doctor had us to go liquid/soft puree on the 8th day and I will do that until the three week****s.  I have sweet potatoes, squash, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, soft foods. I've even had some of Armour Potted Meat (yuck!) but it was good for the protein. LOL  I drink the protein shakes to get my quota of at least 60 in a day. Your doctor allows only liquids?  Protein drinks will be good for that. I did start missing the crunch, but I ignore it and it finally goes away ....
