Itchy?

I've been on my pre op for 1 week with about 1 week to go.  I itch! My center wanted us to use Bariatric  advantage so I started with that.  I have used Unjury brand before for a one a day shake and have been fine with that.  

For some reason I itch all over. I'm practically scratching my face and head off. My stomach, arms, and legs itch. When I called my office they pretty much dismissed it and said they had never heard of it.  I have switched out protein drinks- Isopure, Unjury, nextar to no avail.i have no rash, just incredibly itchy.

Anyone else experience itchy?  I've got a ways to go on this protein drink thing and hate to think I'll be itching that long.

Take some benedryl

I have been experiencing the same thing, but was told it was due to the cold weather drying out my skin. It helps to put on lots of lotion and to take an antihistamine. Good luck!

I have only used GNC's Lean 25 RTU protein shakes.  I was at Wal-Mart and saw a new shake, good protein, and was a flavor that I couldn't get at GNC.  I had an allergic reaction; flushed faced, incredible itching, itchy watery eyes.  It was awful!

Give your center a ring and let them know that you're having trouble They shouldn't have any issue with you using a different brand. Also, ask about taking benadryl. That SHOULD do the trick. Best of luck! That's got to be so annoying!
